Presidents

To humor my one comentee of the last post, I shall humor you with my top ten lists of both good and bad presidents.
Let's start with the bad:
1. Andrew Jackson: Illiterate. A was vetrain that just wasn't meant to be president.
2. Teddy Roosevelt: (which is funny cause we share the same nickname)
3. Bush Jr.: Need I say more?
4. Van Buren: After seeing the movie Amistad I've lost all respect for that man.
5. Andrew Johnson: the crappy choice after Lincoln. You'd think the Republican party would pick another REPUBLICAN for vice president. Apprently they weren't that smart.
6. Grant: great war hero, awful president. Just because you can win a war doesn't mean you can run a country.
7. Trumen: Ended WWII, but he loses points for droping the atomic bombs.
Ok, I don't have a full top ten, more of a top seven.
Now, the good.
1. McKinley: Had the coolest assassination, but since I can't totally go by that he did great ecenomic stuff for the country and apprently he was also a pretty decent guy.
2. William Henry Harrison: He died in 30 days! I feel kinda bad for him. He got nothing done.
3. FDR: Got the country through not only the great depression but also WWII while fighting polio in a wheelchair, that's pretty damn awsome.
4. Clinton: Made June national Gay Pride Month in 2000. That alone is worthy of applause.
5. John Quiency Adams: He had to live up to his name. Which is sad. I feel bad for him.
6. JFK: also assassinated, started NASA, helped cival rights
7. Woodrow Wilson: He makes the list for finally giving women their right to vote!
8.Jefferson: He had the right idea on the road to democracy.
9. Nixon: Helped improve relations with the U.S.S.R. in China. He made a pretty big mistake but he did really good things, too. I feel really bad for the guy.
10. Lincoln: He might be 10 but at least he made the list. I suppose stopping slavery gives him a step up and being president all through the cival war, but at the same time I have to wonder if he was really that great and not just made that way because he abolished slavery and got assassinated not too long after.
Well, thats all for this week. Go free speech! I am not debating any of my reasons for liking or dislikeing these people and do not care how or why your top 10 are better. This is my opinion which will probably change through the course of my U.S. history class. Thank you, come again ^^.

haha, Harrison is second just because he died and didn't get to do anything doesn't mean he was a great president? I love you Teddy.
