Well, today I wore a belt.
It started out like any morning I don't do my laundry the night before so I have no cloth *deep breath* and I have to catch the bus in five minutes.
And I needed something to wear.
I intincantly chose jeans (that amazingly fit) and a white tank top underneath a black t-shirt. My 1st thought was, "It's not enough."
Lately I have been dressing for my body type and (may I add) love the outfit's I have been choosing, getting compliment after compliment when I wear a new one.
So, I picked up a belt.
"No," said my picky self, "leave the belt at home."
"But it's cute." (my fashionable self)
"No."
I start to take it off, then glance at the clock.
"Hah! I win." (fashionable self)
"Fuck you."
I wish I'd gotten more comments though.
For girls:
Have you noticed, unless their dating you (and even then its rare) boys don't tell you how pretty you look?
I have.
I have at least one class with both of my crushes, neither of which took any notice to my outfit at all. I know one doesn't like men at all and never will. But the other one does, and I find it annoying.
*sigh*
Being pretty is hard.
But trying to be pretty, I find that to be even more challenging.

Megan, boys don't comment on how pretty you are because they are DUMB. Their minds aren't wired to look at details (such as the belt, which I thought was quite ingenious). They just look at the whole picture and figure, "Well, she's got boobs, works for me."

you know, boys just naturally aren't as attuned to details as girls are. But it could also be that they have so much on their minds they just don't notice. Like me... I have to admit I didn't see the belt, but that's because I had like 2 papers due and a quiz. So give them a bit of a break, and then tell them you like their outfit and they'll maybe get the hint. You never know, maybe guys like to be told they look good too.
